The
India Section of the American Nuclear Society (ANS-India)
was formed as an implementing organization of a
memorandum of cooperation between the American and Indian
Nuclear Society (INS) on 8 October 2010. Against the
backdrop of the Indo-US Civil Nuclear Energy Agreement
signed on 8 October 2008, ANS-India is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the advancement of science, engineering,
and education pertaining to peaceful uses of nuclear science
and technology and commerce.
