The 2005 Virginia Science Teacher's Workshop was held at Dominion's North Anna Nuclear Information Center on February 26, 2005. This year's event attracted a record 42 teachers from all over the state.

At the workshop they learned basic concepts of radiation, its sources and uses, as well as the benefits of nuclear science and technology. The event also included a guided tour of North Anna's control room simulator.

Teachers were delighted when they were told that the refurbished Geiger counters they were using to conduct radiation experiments were theirs to keep and share with their students.

The event was kicked off by Dominion's Chief Nuclear Officer, Dave Christian, and co-hosted by ANS, HPS, and NA-YGN members.
