Arizona Local Section of the American Nuclear Society.

The Arizona Section of the American Nuclear Society is the local section for the State of Arizona. If you have interest in nuclear sciences, careers and academia then we invite you to become a member. Not sure if you want to join ANS yet? feel free to join us as a participant for a few events.

The section holds periodic dinner meetings with a speaker on a topic of interest. In addition, we conduct student education, public information and outreach activities.

The State of Arizona hosts PALO VERDE GENERATING STATION which is the largest electricity producer by net-generation in the nation for nearly 30 years; clean and carbon-free electricity produced by nuclear fission for more than 4 million customers.
