ANS Pittsburgh invites members in the nuclear community to consider future service on our Executive Committee. Strong leadership is a hallmark of our section and we encourage highly motivated and committed members to consider volunteering for leadership service.
Who are we looking for?
ANS Pittsburgh seeks committee members who are committed to the nuclear industry and to advancing nuclear science, engineering, and technology in the organizations and communities they represent. Our section is strongly committed to embracing the diversity that makes up our community. We seek nominees who:
- Have been active ANS members for at least two years;
- Have strong leadership and service orientation, interests and experiences;
- Serve a cross-section of Pittsburgh’s diverse communities; and
- Represent diversity of professional focus, age, race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and geography.

Dues are $20 per calendar year. To join our section, complete the online membership form or contact our Treasurer for information on alternate payment options.
Mentor Match
Mentor Match, a benefit of ANS membership, utilizes an online database and a Mentoring Discussion Group with information archives to help members find, connect, and share insight with other members. Enjoy the professional development benefits of mentoring no matter your location. Your Mentor or Mentee may be in your city or on the other side of the world! Matched parties may choose one or more methods of communication that work best for them: email, phone call, video chat, meetings, etc.
Scholarships
Since 1993, the ANS Pittsburgh Local Section has awarded over $120,000 to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in nuclear science and engineering, or related fields.
Contributions to the scholarship are gratefully accepted. Support our scholarships today by submitting the online donation form.
The ANS Pittsburgh Section is a 501(c)(3) organization; contributions are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.

Attend Meetings
The ANS Pittsburgh Section hosts a number of meetings annually. Meetings provide an opportunity for face-to-face networking and professional development through sessions and workshops.
