About TOREV

TOREV is the Team of Radiological Emergency Response Volunteers. TOREV is a volunteer organization of radiation protection personnel. Its purpose is to augment the state's Radiation Protection Section in a nuclear incident such as a reactor accident, a RDD ("dirty bomb") incident, or other radioactive materials incidents.

Members of TOREV can be deployed in a number of roles, from actual field monitoring to logistical and other support to state personnel.

Joining TOREV

If you feel like you could make a contribution, please join TOREV in preparing for a radiological incident. There will be training for TOREV members during the year to prepare volunteers for an annual exercise. Also, there will be partnering opportunities for interested TOREV members with other emergency response organizations such as the Medical Reserve Corp (MRC).

The TOREV roster is being updated at this time. Past members of TOREV, current members, and those with an interest in TOREV are requested to fill out the application form below. After submitting a completed application form, the TOREV Committee will contact you with further information.
