Boy Scout Nuclear Science Merit Badge Workshops
Registration Information
To register a scout for this workshop, please send the following information to Carl Willis for each scout who will attend the event. Note: Only scouts need to register. Numbers for lunch will be determined the day of the event.

Be sure to bring Merit Badge forms to the workshop.
Regarding payment: please bring a check or cash to the workshop. The cost is $10 per scout. If you would like pizza lunch on site, you can pay an additional $5 per person (adults too).

Work to be Completed Before the Workshop!
In order to prepare for the merit badge workshop, each scout MUST complete the following three activities BEFORE arriving for the workshop. The last item listed (number 4) is suggested, but not required.
Please write your NAME and TROOP NUMBER on your work and bring it with you to the workshop. Also please make sure that all pages are STAPLED together since you will turn this in when you arrive and get it back at the end of the day.
We encourage troops to work together on these requirements, but each scout needs to have their own copy of these prerequisites to turn in. It may be hand written (write neatly please) or typed (but refrain from copying and pasting directly from internet sites).

- (required) Nuclear Power Plants, where art thou? Find out how many nuclear power plants exist in the United States. Locate the one nearest your home. Find out what percentage of electricity in the United States and your state is generated by nuclear power plants, by coal, and by gas.
If you want (optional)... when were the first and last plants built? Which state has the most plants? Which state gets the largest percentage of its energy from nuclear?
