The ANS Trinity Section works closely with the ANS Student Section at the University of New Mexico. The UNM Student Section President serves on the Executive Committee of the Trinity Section.

The UNM Student Section is active in supporting nuclear technologies and scientific reasoning for solutions to questions of safety and performance. The Student Section maintains a large following by promoting nuclear technologies as a viable career as well as providing students with a resource for information and opportunities related to the industry. In addition to their day-to-day activities on campus, they also collaborate with the Girl Scouts of New Mexico trails to inform young girls about nuclear and help them earn their "Get to Know Nuclear Badge" at the annual STEM Extravaganza in September. They make outreach an integral part of their operating philosophy by organizing over four major outreach events every single year. The ANS Student Section also financially supports students to present research and attend ANS National Conferences and Meetings with help from the ANS Trinity Section.

The UNM Student Section maintains its own website with information about Student Section activities. The UNM Nuclear Engineering department also has an Instagram account (ans.unm) where you can see UNM ANS activities. You may contact them directly through their President, Lauren Bailey.
