ANS Trinity Section works closely with the Student Section at the University of New Mexico. The Student Section Chair serves on the Executive Committee of Trinity Section.
The Student Section is active in supporting nuclear technologies and scientific reasoning for solutions to questions of safety and performance. The Student Section maintains a large following by promoting nuclear technologies as a viable career as well as providing students with a resource for information and opportunities related to the industry. In addition to special events and projects such as Microgravity Research Organization, the Student Section strives to make outreach an integral part of their operating philosophy. Attendance and presentation of technical papers at ANS national meetings and the ANS student conference is facilitated through the Student Section.
